I hear a voice

Congrats to Drexel’s VOICE (Variety of Indian Cultural Expressions) for an amazing show with a night full of intense performances with superb performers like Drexel Jhalak, Drexel Dhoom, J5, Temple Agni + Masti Collabo and DU Bhangra. Truly a great organization that is profoundly entertaining Philly with the desi dance culture and consistently providing quality shows. And congrats to all the dancers who put on great performances.

Shout out to Rachana from Drexel Dandiya and Jamie Shah for their great hospitality!  Abey Abraham from VOICE E-Board 07 who was basically our liaison for the whole entire night, Kevin Ghandi and Rena Tandon Presidents of VOICE.  A special thanks to Monica Singh, Cynthia Edirisuriya, Shilpa Dass and Jasmin Desai with much love!   Kiran Samuel for writing the great script and including us!  Sabaa Dam and the rest of the Drexel Jhalak, hopefully next time we can meet on the fifth floor on the fire escape stairs for some awesome freeze tag. Can’t wait to see J5 in action next year.

Check out this thread for more!  Pictures from the show here!

drexel presents “Yeh Hai Pyaar, Yaar”

"Yeh Hai Pyaar, Yaar"
10th Annual Drexel University Show
April 26th 2008 6pm  – $10
Main Auditorium
32nd and Chestnut, Philadelphia PA

This year, we will be exploring one Indian girl’s timeless search for love—with a twist. Meet Kavita. She’s funny, friendly, and independent… but still single. With her mother’s nagging voice still fresh in her ears, she’s thrust into the middle of her worst nightmare: a dating show with her as the prize! Will she finally find the one from the three suitors ready to capture her heart? Will she strangle Ramgopalkrishna, our annoying yet lovable host, before we can find out?
