We developed an official DDT Ranking system to help determine the standings of teams. This ranking system is completely points based, not opinions. The points are from winnings and placements at competitions. And they go as follow;

We choose the 3-2-1 system so the rank will change often and it will be easier to catch up and climb the ranking. Because of that, the game will be even more competitive.  The Hat Trick bonus point will help boast teams with a 1st place winning streak (3), with 1 extra point. Due to the great challenge of performing 3x in one night, Naach Naach Revolution (NNR) awards 6 pts for its victory. They do not win three (3) 1st place victory. There is no 2nd or 3rd place for that competition.

Competitions that host many different styles such as bhangra, garba, and fusion will be considered a fusion competition and the winner of that competition will receive points in the fusion section not their respective dance.

Bhangra, Garba/Raas, and Fusion will each have their own ranking. The Rankings will show Current Year Ranking, Last Year Ranking, All-Time Ranking (only including points from Jan 2005 and so on). All ranking for new upcoming years will done by seasons. Each season runs from Fall to Summer of the following year (ex. Fall06-Sum07).

Holding the #1 position for long will be quite difficult and the team that overcomes this challenge truly deserves to be the #1 DESI DANCE TEAM.
