Noman Ahmad is probably the best South Asian dancer at UT. He's the founder of UT Ajooba, an all girls and (obviously him) Bollywood Fusion dance team at UT. He's also on Redefined Dance Co (Hip Hop crew here that's won WOD Dallas two years in a row) and UT Saaya. In addition, he single handedly choreographed our Taal 2012 (local UT talent show) exhibition act which was a collaboration of all the dance teams and acts performing. Just some bare info on this guy.

LOL @ Uneeq with the wonder woman joke. All of those women listed a pretty talented.

Uneeq, you got any video of Noman. If you think he's good then he's gotta be good. I'm surprised we haven't seen him on any of the mainstream competition. Hopefully he doesn't stay under the radar this coming year. Maybe we'll see him at Jhalak?

Hahah this sounds like an attempt of making another AATMA team from when they took the best dancers from any dance team. It would be interesting to see how crazy a performance could be if you took some of the dancers that were named and put them together into one team.

Noman's the guy that beat Saatvik at the A-town dance off at the team mixer, I believe. He won overall.

funny that you mention that. looking at Msoni's list, quite a few of those dancers are on aatma i believe, or have danced for that organization

Pretty solid list by Msoni but I would take out a couple of people from that, instead of fareed and pavan I'd put in Evan from BSB from star wars to gladiators his dancing has improved insanely and definitely top 3 dancer on that team aside from dhyey and chirag, also i'd add that short govinda from WA, Rohan (captain of Dhadak), this years UCLA lead he perfectly exemplified that his small size doesn't matter and he danced so big, and I would definitely add, (I think his name is) Pranav the 3idiots-esque fizaa theme from 2 years ago, he was one of the sickest leads of all time in the circuit, maybe tom ford/add him as 6th man off the bench very powerful dancer

Girls are pretty solid, don't see zara up there though, but haven't seen them all dance, I would add Azaad lead from the year they won BA she was sick, the girl in pj's/main character of euphorek, and rupal joshi

side note: this actually one of the better topics posted on DDT, props to who started it, this would be a insane team of people.

Zoya & Hena are pretty good (Jalwa). EuphorEk has many great female dancers as well.

If we're picking people from previous year, it's a long ass list with names like Nisha (Zor), Joya (Tufaan), Rena (Zamana), Priya (Sitaare), Amlu (Azaad), Sian (Ishaara), Amna (USC) and so many more.

Why ABDC? the calibre of that competition has really decreased plus they would force them to pick a gimmick and stay with it, I think to really show the amazing dancers that are on this circuit they should compete in "So you think you can dance" With the broad dance stiles they would have to do you would really see if they can actually dance or just do one style. But still im very sure that our dancers in this circuit would prove that they can not only do one style but many and actually rep us up!

So why no nominate the best over all dancers that could dance not one but many styles that you dont even see in this circuit

like all the different dances that are involved in Ballroom or latin Ballroom(yes there is a difference in dances and I only say this because there seems to be a confusion that joins both together hehe) these styles are not even seen in this dance circuit (maybe because you dont want to make a segment too long, and they require more than 30 sec to really showcase what they can offer).

Anyone else got a list? Feel free to start off by using mine and expand from there!

I think I would trim before expanding. Just being real. All bias aside.

We haven't come across any dancer in this circuit that is exceptional in all styles yet. Each has their element. Some hip hop (WA, Pandas, Genesis, Euphorek), some bhangra (Jalwa, Genesis, Panda), some have created their own styles (Dhadak, Jadhoom, NYU Nasha, Brown Badmash).

TenuPathahai and UneeQ's list of recognition are accurate and justifiable. Can't wait to see the new talent of next year.

Two other guys who have been under the radar are Raj and Karthik, both from Dillagi. Raj is really artistic and carries a charisma with him onto the stage. Karthik is classically trained and had never done bhangra before joining Dillagi, but he was able to pick up really fast and ended up doing it better than the rest of us.

jeevan on top of that list, he is the best dancer in the entire circuit, and ashif a very very very very super close second, aside from all the listed i'd add amar kumar from Penn he was amazing the 10-11 dance season along with all those jadhoom boys

two of those other boys from Jadhoom would be Saajan Shah and Abhinav Kalavar. two of our best male dancers in addition to Amar.

Also think some of NYU Nasha's girls should be on that list. I can't name them but a lot of those girls are really good. esp w/ their style of combo'ing classical and lyrical. I really liked Zor's lead girl from this year along with the two swans.

I agree w Tom Ford on that list with Nithin from Kamaal as well.
