After 5 years of performing and entertaining audiences all across the world, NYU Pandemonium is hanging up their lungis and hoodies. That's right we're retiring, but we're going out with a BANG!

First off, we'd like to thank our parents for rarely supporting us and telling us to stop dancing around like girls and study for our exams. We'd like to thank our amazing fans without whom we would not be who we are today. We'd like to specifically thank all the hot girls out there who motivated us to continue to come to afterparties and dance a little bit as well. Apologies to all the jealous boyfriends out there, we didn't know.

We'd also like to thank all the dance teams over the years that have competed with us and inspired us to get even better. You guys are awesome! Specifically shout out to KJ and Three Rivers who inspired us to bring bhangra to the fusion circuit in a fun and entertaining way. Shoutout to TCNJ Saathiya for letting us use their chant at every competition we went to. Shoutout to all the all-guys teams out there who inspired us to keep doing our thing! Shoutout to Joya from UCD who said she'd kick our ass if we made a post about her.

Big shout out to all the NYU Teams (Bhangra, Raas-Malai, and Nasha) who have always supported us and helped us in whatever way possible. NYU as a university has probably gone to over 100 competitions and have won more titles than any other university out there, and we owe a lot of our success to all of you who supported us!

Thanks to all the competition organizers who dealt with our drunk asses at every mixer. We were just trying to lighten the mood.

After dancing for so long, we really thought hard about what this all meant to us. For us, dancing was all about getting on stage and just straight up tearing it up. We never danced for the judges, we sometimes danced for ourselves, but most of the time it was for the ladies. We always tried to keep true to ourselves, and without props, backdrops, glitter, bharatnatyam, or makeup, we still managed to entertain audiences all over the world. And can you believe we did the same hip hop bhangra gimmick for 5 years lol?!

In all honesty, it's been the greatest 5 years of lives for both our alumni and current members. We've had an amazing experience meeting all these wonderful teams that blow our minds. I mean the competitiveness from 5 years ago until now has just gone through the roof. You guys all make us very proud to be a part of this circuit!

We'd love to see everyone come out to our Retirement Party. Whether you dance for a fusion, bhangra, garba raas, or bollywood team or whether you're just an avid fan or whether you just want to get crunk, come out to our party! It will be an awesome time and we'd love to have all our fans and supporters come thru! Please e-mail nyupandemonium@gmail.com if you would like your organization or team to be on supporters list!
