Hello Fusion and Bollywood teams!

Most of you may have never heard of us so we would like to do a quick introduction. Last year, a few recent garba/raas alumni came together to create a unique alumni team called Alliance. We wanted to create a team that was unlike any other, formed completely of garba/raas alumni from across the country. We performed at Raas All-Stars: National Championship last year and realized this was an opportunity that could not be missed. This year, we continued the tradition and performed once again as a judging act at RAS IV. We practiced via YouTube throughout the semester and came together only for the first time Thursday before the competition. It has been an amazing experience to dance with your once competitors and be able to unite on a national stage to show the garba/raas world it doesn't have to end at graduation. We love what this team stands for, that we can be a team even after four years of competition, and we have made lasting friendships because of it. We wanted to post our video on this forum so as to share what we believe is an epic dance world phenomenon. We were honored to share the stage with the seven best raas teams in the country and have plans to continue to do so for years to come. Hope you enjoy our performance!

That was pretty SICK I must say :O It's great to see such passion for the art even after some graduate from the circuit. This Alliance idea is super cool.

Just a thought from watching this: It'd be sick if every school had a fusion team made from alumni dancers from every type of dance team (raas, fusion, bollywood, bhangra, etc) with each style, and they came together to represent their school at an alumni competition. Wouldn't that be amazing? Of course, planning this out would be a major venture but just a thought...
