Here is the point:
I see what you're saying, but there is a way to give a negative critique and then there is a way to give a negative critique. There is a difference between the following two, both which relay the same message, but in different ways:
"Team X, your bhangra is wack" message= your bhangra is bad.
"Team X, your bhangra needs work. I think you can work on adding more grace into the movements and make the moves more diverse. It seemed as if you guys repeated the same moves multiple times" message= your bhangra needs work.
Both are negative critiques, but the first one is not constructive and is just putting Team X down. The second one is negative but is at the same time guiding Team X towards how to make their bhangra better.
By no means should we all be sugar coating everything and saying every team deserved first place, but again, there are two ways to tell it how it is, and a lot of the time we hear the former rather than the latter.
