For those who care, here is my review of the teams. Please note, this review only reflects my sole opinion and not DDT and everyone affiliated with DDT. So if you want to hate, only hate me. Sorry if some of my comments are harsh. Thanks.

UCB Zahanat:
The Imran Khan songs were some of my favorite moments. The team is destined to mature into a very strong team. Even though I often compared them to Wanted Ashiqz cause of similar performing style, this team needs to be judged on their own merits. As a team themselves, they are very impressive and great entertainers and performers. They understand taking risk and being unique. They were killing it with the formations. I applaud this team for being the pioneers for the fusion league in the west coast.

UCI Zamana:
I got the name right this time!! I always suggest teams to use the least amount of lighting as possible and simple as possible. Lighting cues are rarely on time and done correctly. That was the case a few times on this performance too but there were some lighting cues that really helped their performance stand out, particularly Dil Se Re and Kali Kali Ankhein. This team uses their props well and don’t have useless props for the sake of having props. The song choices were coordinated well with the storyline. It helps progress the storyline. I was surprised about how messy you guys were, I didn’t expect that from Irvine, I'm so use to seeing Irvine being squeaky clean but your choreography was fantastic. You guys have great stage presences and the leads were great in their roles, both Aamir and Anika. It probably helps that you have a large team that takes up the entire space on stage. It seems the entire team had The Situation going on. I can’t believe you all went topless haha. You guys had many great moments throughout your performance. The details were great and really impressed me.

UCD Toofan:
This team needs more members on the team because the stage looked empty more than half the time. The first half of the performance was mostly all girls, the guys would come in and out and barely had any dance time until the second half. Obviously, the lead, Joya, was phenomenal! She blew everyone away with her MJ segment. Her outfits were hot too. I didn’t think any of the song choices or actual dance were coordinated too well with the theme but the performance was still great because of the choreography. It was just real good choreography. The rest of the team really had a hard time keeping up. I would suggest spend more time on training rest of the team member. There wasn’t much focus on formations or props. There was one cool stunt where Joya spun around some guys head.

Stanford Dil Se:
The male lead really played his part well. You guys had a very enjoyable performance. I spoke to the male lead at the after party and he told me “We just go on stage and have fun.” And that’s exactly what it is. It’s a fun performance to watch and probably fun to perform. Having fun is the BEST reason to get on that stage! I liked the idea of the storyline because it was different, but the storyline itself is kind of bland because there’s not much you can do with that story to make it more interesting. The girl falling in love with her boss. And that’s about it. You really can’t add any other flavoring to it. I have a few ideas, not great, but it’s something. PM me if you are interested.

UCSD Zor:
The intro video was dope. Khizar and I were like, forget dancing, just show us more of the intro video haha. The intro video was great. As for the performance, I really felt like DRP stole the performance. The intensity and hype that filled the venue was so powerful and people kept talking about DRP and not UCSD. It really helped your performance stand out, but not in the best way. As I told some of your team members, Sharan is a fantastic dancer and he really needs more stage time. I also thought Nisha improved A LOT from Bollywood Berkeley. I was really impressed. This team had a lot of great moments, you were never bored. So much energy and intensity and you just wanted more and more, but we didn’t get more. I don’t know about the actual length but that was a short performance. Also, as I explained to some of your team members, the storyline was good and overall concept was creative but there weren’t any details within the segments and dances that really told you what was going on with the story or help it stand out. If there were details, then it wasn’t noticeable or obvious. The performance had great choreography and the team is very skilled. You just need a longer performance and give Sharan and the guys more dance time. I saw what you guys were trying to go for with the screen in the back, it sucks the lighting didn’t work for the shadow. That would have looked hot.

UCLA Nashaa:
This was one of my favorite teams of the night. You never see that much energy from dance team organizers that perform exhibition at their own show. They are usually too tired and don't go all out. I saw a lot of them backstage in all the chaos and they didn’t let that affect their performance one bit. They still managed to put on one of the best performance of the night. They had great choice of music. Most fight scenes tend to be cheesy but Nashaa did theirs pretty well. This team plays well to the crowd. Their choreography matches well with their mix; dancing to each beats and some theatrics to the lyrics. They are super entertaining, skilled dancers, and daring performers. All three leads were great. If they were competing, "Shan" would definitely have been one of my top choices for best male dancer.

A-Nu-Bhav:
The whole time I was watching this performance I kept thinking, this male lead really looks like a Bollywood actor hahah. His facial expression, attitude, and poses, it was hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing. He did his role really well and was very entertaining. This team had a clean performance but could improve on the difficultly of their choreography. I don’t think their theme was portrayed that well. They could have done a lot more like adding cliché bollywood scenes and plots. If they did add some, it didn’t stand out well. This team certainly has a lot of potential. Start taking more risk with the choreography.

Texas Mohini:
This is a very talented team when it comes to dancing. They were clean for the most part, slightly above average choreography, good stage presence. Their theme was original and a great concept, but it just wasn’t displayed well. Some of the songs in the mix were short lived and transitioned quickly so it threw you off. Natasha, who wanted to be a Don, stood out from the rest of the team with her segment. The entire night and the next day I was trying to figure out what song it was you started off with and finally figure it out of; Warrior by Eminem and Lloyd Banks. That’s such a hot song and I never thought of a fusion team performing to it. Only problem was you didn’t perform that long. It’s was only for a couple of seconds. Same thing with Rihanna and Lady Gaga songs you had in your mix. The only thing I can tell you girls is to brainstorm ideas on how to present your theme better. Your performance was just all dance, and that’s it. The transition in your mix were too quick.

UCB Azaad:
Wow. This team is unstoppable this year in the HFD circuit. This performance was just non-stop excitement. It just never ends! From beginning to end you were entertained. Although I’m not a fan of the storyline because it’s overused, I have to say they have done it better than any other team. Where in the hell did you guys get your hands on a man-lift?? How do you transport that? The female lead is just unbelievable. There was another male dancer in the background who I thought was better than the male lead. He hit his cues and executed his moves much better. He was definitely better with the expression and stage presence. The entire team is great with stage transition and formation. I thought the Mohabbetien insert was hilarious. This was not just a very entertaining performance but overall a great dance. You can say this team has the complete package.

NYU Pandemonium:
At first I didn’t like the costumes but then it grew on me. I guess you guys were trying to blend in with A-Nu-Bhav hahaha (inside joke). The KJ tribute was hella tight but too long. It’s difficult and expensive to transport an entire team but this performance would have been so much better with more dancers because you guys always kill it with the formations. Pandas always have great selection with their mix. I must have missed it but I didn’t see where that female bhangra dancer came from. I was completely thrown off and surprised. I heard you undressed a dancer and revealed her. She missed a few of her moves but was pretty good for the most part. It was a great addition to the storyline. My favorite part was the bit with the hat, that was so slick. “Get yo head in the game”. You guys improved with the hip hop, could be cleaner but still great. Of course, it would look so much better with more team members.

USC Anjaane:
I couldn’t follow the performance too well. I think it was that the male lead drew a girl and she came to life right? My favorite part was the bit from Rab Ne Banye Jodi with the costume change. This team needs to improve on their choreography. It was too simple.

My ranks:
HFD:
1st – UCB Azaad - Obviously
2nd - UCI Zamana – UCI was much more entertaining, creative, better choreography but sloppy
3rd  – A-Nu-Bhav – Clean, decent choreography and formations
4th – Stanford Dil Se – found them very entertaining
5th – USC Anjaane – Has potential, need to work on a few things

Fusion:
1st (Tie) – NYU Pandemonium – Gave a much more powerful performance, entertained the crowd, and great choreography.
1st (Tie) – UCSD Zor – I like the concept of the theme, had great choreography, energy, and moments but was just too short. A few bits were sloppy.
3rd – UCB Zahanat – Maturing into a strong team but just need to work on a few things
4th – Texas Mohini – If they can portray the theme better and dance to some of their song selections longer, they can be a great team
5th – UCD Toofan – Amazing lead but outshines the rest of the team. Portrayal of theme wasn’t strong.

Most Creative:
1st – UCI Zamana – Story wasn’t creative but the way they presented it with their detail was creative. Great use of props, song selection, costumes, lighting. Very creative entrance and opening. Overall production was creative.
2nd – UCSD Zor – Close Call for the win. Great concept but needs to be portrayed better. The guys had a creative entrance.
3rd – NYU Pandemonium – The MJ forward lean, Hat gimmick, female bhangra entrance.
4th – UCB Azaad – Overused storyline but done well. The man-lift was creative for the Romeo & Juliet.
5th – UCB Zahanat – Creative formation, but that was about it.

Best Male Dancer:
1st – Aamir Dhalla – UCI Zamana – great stage presences, theatrics, and great dancer. He hit his choreography well and was very entertaining to watch even when he’s topless (no homo).
2nd – Sharan C – UCSD Zor – He was really close to winning. It was a tough decision between him and Aamir. I believe if he had more stage time, he would have been great. I heard about his shoulder but I still had to be fair and judge everything based on what was done on stage. No doubt about it, Sharan is a talented dancer.
3rd – ??? - NYU Pandemonium – The hip hop dancer that was in the front for most of the 1st half. He was great with the hip hop. His bhangra wasn’t as great but still good enough.

Best Female Dancer:
1st – Joya Kazi – UCD Toofan – Her MJ performance was unforgettable. All her other segments were great as well.
2nd – Lead dancer – UCB Azaad – This was another close call. It was extremely close between her and Joya. Great stage presence and excellent dancer.
3rd – Anika Zubair – UCI Zamana – I really enjoyed her stage presence but she slipped up a few times. Nothing too noticeable though.
4th – Natasha Arora – Texas Mohini – Great stage presences but choreography was too great.
5th - NYU Pandemonium - Single Ladies LOL

For each of the awards DDT gave it, it was extremely close call. We discussed it up till the last moment.

My Thoughts:
After the Wanted Ashiqz made their presences on the west coast, it seems every HFD team is now going heavy on the stunts. I've never seen HFD teams so daring and athletic. HFD stunts better than Fusion this year.
I noticed teams had better usage of dialogues and voices over. It's not as cheesy and over-acted. And now it's more creative.
Teams need to take more risk and push themselves. If you don't take the risk, then you performance will be bland. Try more difficult moves, try intricate tricks, effects, and formations. Don't be shy, go crazy!!!!
Learn to transition your team on stage effectively. Many times I've seen some members walk and others run. Even if the distances traveled are different, try to keep the speed and movement of the legs near equal. Just vary up the distance of each step when closing in and spreading out. I'll see if I can find a video that'll explain this better.
Practice costume changes. This is one of the reason some team members run on stage later than others.
If you have less amount of dancers on stage, spread them out, because if you clump them together, the outer parts of the stage look empty. And if you are in a situation where the stage will look empty cause lack of members, then try to move around the stage more often so it doesn't look empty.
Don't do stunts that take too long to set up. It kills the momentum. Try distracting the audience with something while you set up for a stunt.

                                      i hope the 4 RAS teams that got completely beat this past weekend really feel embarrassed and realize the spots they are holding in RAS are precious and deserving of many other teams (BU and GW)

they really need to step it up, especially nyu and upenn.
choreo, music, costumes, energy, syncho, expressions were all sub-ras-standards.

I wish i could though. they remind me a bit of UCSD Zor, how cool would it be to see both those teams compete? however i think they are more athletic and do a lot more stunts, but that would be a really sick competiiton to see

                                      Prime Minister Will and Grace DVD Box SetVladimir Putin launched Russia's long-awaited Siberian oil export route on Monday, hailing a "truly serious event" giving energy-hungry Asia a new supply sourceWill and Grace DVD Set from the world's largest crude exporter.
Putin, clad in a heavy winter parka, pushed a button that initiated the first filling of an oil tanker at a new oil terminal near the Russian Will and Grace DVDPacific port of Nakhodka, the projected terminus of the new Siberian oil pipeline.
"For Russia this is truly a serious event," Putin said during the terminal inauguration ceremony at the port of Kozmino near Nakhodka, in commentsWill and Grace DVD Box Set broadcast on state television.
"This is a strategic project because it allows us to enter completely new, growing, promising markets of the Asian Pacific region," Putin said.
"This is the completion of one of theWill and Grace DVD largest projects in modern Russia. And not only modern Russia. It would be a grandiose project for the former Soviet Union too."
Earlier this year, Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft completed the construction of the first 2,694-kilometre (1,600-mile) sectionWill and Grace DVD Set of the oil pipeline known by the acronym ESPO linking Taishet in eastern Siberia with Skovorodino in the Amur region.
This portion of the project also included theWill and Grace DVD Box Set construction of the Kozmino oil port inaugurated by Putin. The second, 2,100-kilometre (1,300-mile) section of the pipeline will run from Skovorodino to the Kozmino port.
For now, oil is being delivered by rail from Skovorodino to the Kozmino port where it is then to be pumped into tankers forWill and Grace DVD shipment to markets in Asia.
Transneft and the Chinese oil group CNPC in October 2008 signed an agreement on the construction of a 67-kilometre (40-mil) branchWill and Grace DVD Box Set line to China which will initially carry 15 million tonnes of oil a year when it becomes operational.
Chris Weafer, chief strategist at Uralsib Bank in Moscow, said the opening of the new route would give Russia new export outletsWill and Grace DVD Set and ease "the threat to export growth... poised by the congested Bosphorus."
Russia has surpassed Saudi Arabia as the world's top world oil exporter due to output quota cuts by the oil cartel OPEC Will and Grace DVD Box Setand to new oil fields in Siberia coming on line.
The London-based legal aid group Reprieve said Prison Break DVD box set Sunday that Shaikh's two cousins had gone to Urumqi in a last-ditch bid for clemency.
Britain opposes the death penalty andPrison Break DVD box set Prime Minister Gordon Brown has repeatedly raised Shaikh's case with China's leaders and appealed for clemency.
okay this is going a little overboard....I'm sorry for my teammates and his girlfriends actions, we weren't aware if their actions and now it has come to my attention and i will talk to him and his girlfriend as soon a possible. It was REALLY immature of them to both be writing on the forum without thinking things through and i apologize again. I cant believe this happened right after me and half of our team passed out since 2 PM to 3 AM!!!

as for the SAPA and KHATRA drama, there isnt any at all. SAPA is a veteran team and i look up to them because they are an amazing group of dancers and have the best costumes and choreo then most team. I respect them and hope the best for them in future competitions.

Also i would like to thank the people who are reviewing all the teams dances. We just started last semester and we have learned a lot after doing TMP and MUQUABLA, and by reading DDT reviews have helped us also. So thank you again and sorry for any drama my fellow teammate has caused.

hopefully we can get back to giving teams constructive criticisms from this point onwards. Again, sorry for anything my team has caused.
so the line up is:

1.DREXEL JHALAK--> TMP
2.WANTED ASHIQZ-->Phillyfest
3.UC BERKELEY AZAAD--> Bollywood Berkeley
4. UCSD ZOR--> Jhoomti Shaam
5. BSB--> Muqabla
6.??--> Dance Fusion

Viewers Choice: Definatley RU SAPA i dont think NYU Pandas deserve to be in the line up they aren't that good compared to the other teams in the lineup

Managements Choice: this is gonna be a hard choice i think UCLA NAASHA has a good chance but other teams that deserve to be in the lineup would be:

1.SJU RAAZ--> good all girls team and have good choreo and synchronized they brought it at phillyfest and i loved there perfomance
2.SB KHATRA--> this team is on the RISE! they have a very good chance of getting into BA! very creative and they have good ideas they just need to put it together better! im going to rooting for this team to pull it through to BA! they are one of my top choices
3.PENN STATE JADHOOM--> one of the most synchroized fusion teams out there IDK how u guys do it!! and putting together two routines in a year is impressive
4. BU CHANKAR--> very creative theme and loved there TMP performance

the line so far seems to be very COMPETITIVE its gonna be one helluva show =)
and what was up with ucsd bringing on those guys from another team for fusion? not to be mean or anything, but i would've liked to see them actually try doing a fusion dance if they are going to enter a competition as one and not use other people.
